Doors open at 6pm / Meeting at 7:30pm
The Feb. 20, 2017 Regular meeting of the New Trier Township High School District 203 Board of Education will take place at the Cornog Auditorium on the Northfield Campus, 7 Happ Road. Indications are that a significant number of people wish to address the Board.
Doors of the Cornog Auditorium will open to the public beginning at 6 p.m. The Board will briefly gavel to order at 6:30 p.m. and then enter into a closed session. The public business portion of the Regular meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m.
Members of the public are welcome to enter the auditorium as early at 6:00, but please note that seats cannot be saved for anyone who is not present. Unattended items will be removed at the discretion of District personnel.
Request cards for members of the public who wish to speak during the public comment portion of the meeting will be available at a table inside the Cornog Auditorium. Those requesting to speak should complete a card and hand it to the administrator at the table. There is a limited time available for public comments, so the Board asks that speakers keep their comments brief and not repeat points made by others.
The Board President will explain the process for public participation at the beginning of the business portion of the meeting. Depending on the number of requests to speak, the 30 minute period for public comment may be extended and the allotted time for each speaker may be shortened to allow more speakers the opportunity to address the Board.
Parking is available in all campus lots, including those across Happ Road from the circle drive. New Trier staff members will be on hand to direct visitors to the Cornog Auditorium.
The New Trier Board of Education Meetings will be held in the Multipurpose Room (C234), Building C, Second Floor, at New Trier High School – Northfield Campus, 7 Happ Road, Northfield. See Procedures for addressing the Board here.
